I bought this without any real knowledge of it's content, other than the promise of "the real story" as this is completely unofficial I didn't expect anything fantastic, but I did however expect something better than this.
Basically what we have is 45 odd minutes of so called experts (including two journalists and a dominatrix!! Yes really!!) Discussing all things GaGa, not only is this not very interesting, these people don't even seem to be very big fans, therefore at times speaking in a negative tone. This is sliced up between grainy interview footage and a few pretty amateur cover versions of her hits.
Interestingly, much of the programme discusses issues like sex and drugs in the music industry and gives very brief bios of other singers including David Bowie and Madonna- featuring a grainy (again) film of Madonna at the 1990 MTV awards.
For an artist who hasn't been around that long it's understandable that this isn't the most lengthy of films, but it could have at least focussed on its star more. For serious die hards only!

45 mins of negative drible with bits and bobs here and there. The same clips are used over and over whilst a woman gives a voice over. I'm confused as I am watching it whilst I write this and all they're talking about is Madonna and showing clips of Madonna?! Strangely enough it uses the original Vogue music but all the Lady Gaga music is copied and not Lady Gaga. Now there is some Green Day music and discussion about Green Day, whats this DVD actually about?! Also a lot of the DVD talks about sexuality of general female artists which half of it is not even in relation to Lady Gaga and goes on to talk about drugs used by performers, again not too specific about Lady Gaga, just general.
I bought this for my Dad for christmas but after reading another review I decided to watch it first and I'm glad I did as I will now NOT be giving him this as a gift I will be putting it on the DVDs I never watch shelf.
I didn't expect it to be amazing but this DVD is very disappointing. I have learnt a lesson from this and that is to only ever buy authorised merchandise from now on as I haven't saved anything by buying a cheaper DVD as I've now got to go and buy another one anyway!

I am a little monster, so obsessed with Lady Gaga and i brought this DVD hoping it would interest me...i was wrong! The songs on here are not sang by gaga, which is rubbish i mean..why not play her music after all it is a dvd on her right?! The people talk about things non relating to gaga like Madonna and they show a lot on her. It's rubbish and i didn't learn anything!
Dont waste your time, especially if you are a little monster- i can guarantee that you will know everything that's on here already!

This is a total waste of money - you just wonder where the producer found the self-opinionated "dominatrix", "journalist" and such women who commented on Lady Gaga. Read more
