This book is so well written, so lovingly thought, so full of human spirit, and so close to daily lives that once you embarked on reading it, you wish you won't have to stop reading it before the very last page. Upon completion, you still have a dear project: a list of new words to check in the dictionary, a search into another culture -I wish I had an Indian lady as a friend who would explain to me- a long list of new cooking dishes as well as a search for their recipes, and, above all, a deep feeling of sorority despite the world frontiers. Very well written, you get drawn in the lives of the heroines and they become your friends. Moving stories but not depressing. You end up admiring them and wanting to be their friend, not feeling sorry for them. Very enjoyable read.
