Having watched the Great British Bakeoff episode where they made chocolate tea-cakes I decided to have a go. My first attempt was with the 6-up mould (just as they used in the programme) but we found that it produced tea-cakes which were far too large - at least they were for our family! So I searched for half-sphere moulds that were smaller. It took a long time (30 pages of moulds if I remember rightly) but eventually I found this one. It's a bit expensive at around £10 but it does produce very good bite-size tea-cakes. Making them is slightly more fiddly but once you've got the technique right it's not at all difficult. And if one tea-cake isn't enough to blunt your appetite, you can always have another!

I'm extremely pleased with it.

I can be short about it. This brand is the best. This mini muffin form was made by THE italian manufacturer. Funny enough you buy double the price, but it is made in the same factory. Good quality, thick rubber, I am very happy with it.
