Great Mouse, nice to hold, 10 Mar 2009
This review is from: Labtec Wireless Laser Mouse 1600 - Mouse - laser - wireless - RF - USB wireless receiver (Personal Computers)
Bought this mouse from staples to go with my Powerbook G4 laptop, it was approx £10 there and what a buy. I hate those silly little half sized mice, I can't work out why one would want to use such an unergonomic lump of plastic, unless of course you have very small hands. This fits into the hand wonderfully even though it is quite angular it still manages to be comfortable. Its very light, and the response is perfect. The red looks good but its the function of the mouse that wins the day. The little wireless USB adapter is unobtrusive and worked first time on inserting it into the USB port.
I'm very picky about mouse controls and this one doesn't disappoint. I would most definitely recommend this and I am about to buy one for my main system.

Good apart from the scrollwheel, 19 Feb 2010

I bought one of these from a reseller called Office Connect for under a tenner. It has a comfortable shape (but probably only for adults; my nephew hates it) and a good quality feel overall and the tracking is accurate and consistent even on a black desk, but the scrollwheel tends to "miss beats", which is a nuisance. I doubt this is a one-off fault, because it's a common problem on other brands too. The high resolution takes a bit of getting used to as well:- although you can configure the acceleration in any OS, they seem to be optimised for 800dpi in terms of acceleration threshold and default max speed. Battery life is shorter than some rivals, but not enough to be a problem.

does the job and looks nice, 27 April 2010

I was looking for a replacement for a microsoft wireless mouse that had stopped working - I was taken by the appearance of this because it matched the colour that I generally set on my Saitek illuminated keyboard - might be a sad reason but then a mouse is a mouse is a mouse!
It is a standard two button + wheel which works perfectly well and doesnt need any proprietry drivers (win 7) - the connecting device is just a USB stick which has a small grey button like thing and a light - just note that the light is the reset button which fooled me at first becasue the small grey round thing that looks like a button isnt. I didnt think beforehand but this USB device really needs to be near the front of the computer - although it will work from the back, it is next to impossible to press the sync button which is necessary if ever the mouse loses connectivity which very occasionally it does. (I have never had a wireless mouse or keyboard that doesnt occasionally need to be re-sync'd. This isnt going to suit a serious gamer or someone who likes to have extra buttons.
Overall a good buy, nice price, comfortable to use - fairly chunky (I find that good for control and comfort) though feels a little light with maybe thinner plastic than the microsoft one it replaced. As long as it lasts me a year or two then I shall be happy with it
