Product Description

Award winning actor and comic provocateur Marc Wootton (My New Best Friends, High Spirits with Shirley Ghostman and Cyderdelic) stars in La La Land, a new series about three wannabees seeking fame and fortune in Los Angeles.

Marc plays Brendan Allen, a documentary filmmaker with zero talent and even less integrity, set on a quest to become the next Michael Moore; Shirley Ghostman, a disgraced medium willing to lie, cheat and drug his way to becoming America’s next psychic superstar; and Gary Garner, and East London taxi driver using the inheritance from his late porn-star mother to forge a new career as an action star in the mould of his hero Jason Statham. La La Land is narrated by Julian Barrett of The Mighty Boosh and has an original score by Steve Mason, founder of the The Beta Band. This DVD is the only way you can see the series in the way it was intended as it includes the banned mythical uncut 3rd episode.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent comedy series 24 July 2010
By nt_ccfc
Fantastic tv show which eclipses the work Sacha Baron Cohen as Ali G, Borat and Bruno..yes seriously. The depth and attention to detail Mr Wootton has with his character creations has to be admired, this is an excellent effort and is truly funny to watch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Has to be owned 6 Jun 2010
This show is great and much of the subtletly is lost on a single viewing. The fact that, unlike other wind-up shows, this series has such a strong narrative means it warrants repeat viewings. Plus, there is a strand in episode 3 that was banned in both the USA and UK after causing controversy. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Also if you like this I would advise you to check out Hight Spirits with Shirley Ghostman (includes My New Best Friend) and Cyderdelic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Literally an all time classic
This will stand the test of time. Think Borat, but with better characters. If I did a longer review it would just be more gushing, so I'll leave it at that.
