How much I've loved this series, really, I would be so glad to see all the seasons coming out for region2!!! :'( By the way, until now, you can find the first unforgettable season1 in Amazon.de, I've just find out...
Back to the plot, lots of people think that Alias was better, and similar to Nikita, but for me this one was the real blast! The plot took the idea directly from the french Besson's film "Nikita ", especially the first episode, but after that the development followed an original path.
I loved particularly the on&off kind of romance/hate that the ambiguos Micheal and Nikita had had, it was so precious and magical, leaving you wanting more every week... ;-P) Plus that kind of French flavour (perhaps Canadian French one, to be more specific) that I liked more than the all American feeling I had from Alias (which I like too, but you know what I mean by it), and the great surprises on the way, the action never exaggerated, and last but not least, that sense of hanging "gothic" sensation of oppression from Section-One environment.
If you add that you won't find the usual silly American banters (even horror are full of it nowadays?!), the finale is not foreseen, and that the actors are simply PERFECT in La Femme Nikita...You will have a modern cult classic!!!
Bravo :-D)
