Product Description

Size Name: 50cl

The first traditional absinthe to be distilled in France since the 1915 ban - the benchmark for traditional premium French absinthe.

Its botanicals contain all of the traditional components of a fine absinthe: wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium), green anise, star anise, hyssop and fennel.

Tasting Note: Before diluting, Parisienne is a clear, deep lime green colour and displays an attractive, fresh herbal aroma. Upon adding iced water its louche has great consistency - turning smoky and milky spearmint green. On the palate it is softly textured and refreshing with discreet spicy flavours and a complex mid-palate of anise. Rich and powerful, La Fée Parisienne is harmonious and full of personality with a classic, delicate bitter-sweet finish.

Every batch is personally approved by renowned absinthe expert Marie-Claude Delahaye. She has stated, "La Fée captures the aroma and taste that great writers and artists such as Rimbaud, Toulouse-Lautrec and Vincent van Gogh enjoyed at the end of the 19th century." La Fée is also the only absinthe endorsed by the Musée de l'Absinthe in Auvers-sur-Oise, France - based on Provenance, Authenticity and Quality, product of Paris, France.

Full traditional strength [ Alcohol by Volume: 68 % ] French verte/green colour absinthe.

Ideal for creating those classic, authentic, old school cocktails.

Gold Medals - LA International Wine and Spirits Competition 2009 (3 Golds awarded)

Gold Medal - San Francisco World Spirits Competition, 2008

Gold Medal - Beverage Testing Institute, 2007

Excellent drink. Having tried other types of absinthe & in high consumption, I have found La Fee Absinthe Pasisienne 68% to be the tastiest as well as the most effective so far. The bottle is not small, but my only complaint would be that it is a shame that it is not even bigger lol - but then at the high volume of 68% I suppose that most people would need a smaller amount for the desired affect then say the 30-50% bottles. Absinthe has painkiller as well as psychedellic properties & personally, I feel is a much nicer spirit to drink then vodka or whiskey. The feeling is nicer & the after affects don't seem nearly as horrible. However, the idea that it was once blamed for Van Gough chopping off his ear seems a little absurd to me & is most likely just a myth as it has now been deemed. Now that it is finally legal again in some countries, it would be nice to see it available more in our local shops & prehaps at a slightly cheaper price for the same quality.

Bought for a mate. He loved it and has been raving about it non-stop since. Safe to say I'll consider getting again.

This absinthe is delicious and well balanced. Anise flavours enrich the wormwood and it is beautiful when louched with about a 4.5:1 ratio ice cold water to absinthe (with sugar of course). With notes of liquorice aniseed as an after taste, it is a great absinthe to have if it is your first time drinking absinthe. It works well when added in a small amount to a glass of champagne or presecco, which gives you the cocktail "Death in the afternoon". Couldn't recommend La Fee more highly.

Softer than Pastis and very pleasant. 68% proof so go easy on it! Would last longer if it wasn't so good!

The best value of the pre-ban absinthes. Has the plus of being endorsed by the official absinthe association. Lovely bottle too!
