There are a number of things this film does right. In addition to the stars Serrault and Tognazzi, it also brings back memorable characters from the first movie such as Michel Galabru as the stuffy and obnoxious Simon Charrier and Benny Luke as the "housemaid" Jacob. As well as a reasonable main-plot where Albin and Renatos' lives are at risk over politically sensitive information they have unwittingly come into contact with, Albin's struggle to comes to terms with being past his prime bring some additional depth to the proceedings. My only minor complaint is that Serrault goes a bit too over the top with the whole "screaming queen" thing, taking the character past the point of believability. Nonetheless, this is a worthy sequel and well worth watching.
