The rate at which we drop these things in our household - and our coffee addiction - means we spend a lot on these replacements. I have previously found that Bodum and La Cafetiere brands are not interchangeable, and this model is the rarest size - most are 3 or 8 cup.
Would be even happier if it was less expensive. Some supermarkets sell the whole item for seven pounds, but made in China. This is the real thing, in original packaging, then packed inside a huge box.

Brilliant: I had a chip and a crack in my old 4 cup La Cafetiere which I use every morning and was able to transfer the handle with ease!Recommended!

The glass cracked on my last one so I'm hoping it doesn't happen to this one otherwise I'll have to find another manufacturer.
