I just recently discovered Julie and I'm so very glad I did. I'm more into Lara Fabian and Laura Pausini, but I have to say Julie has got a sublime, almost tender voice and after seeing her video for Princesse in Youtube I was hooked. This album surprised me in the sense that I liked, I mean really liked almost every song, and I find it hard to find an album where I liked every song, but this one is a winner. This album is diverse and rich in music genres and yet is solid and unified. I only have one more album of Julie, but I can clearly see this is one of her best, she has grown with it and it makes me think she is at the point in her career where she has achieved her best, can she get any better than this? The song Princesse is so catchy I have a hard time moving on to the rest of the album, but when I finally do I run into the subtle "Si le temp ..., her voice is amaizing in "Je viens de croise le diable," Julie Ose is also very good, Pandora the first song clearly signals a departure from her earlier work, "Fais-Moi Confiance" is also noteworthy here. In conclusion, give Julie a chance, especially this album, and speaking French is not a requirement, mine is minimal at best but I can still appreciate good music.
