Product Description

La Fee Absinthe Blanche is a classic spirit based on an authentic 19th century recipe, distilled in conjunction with the French Absinthe Museum (Auvers-sur-Oise) with Grand Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) and other traditional herbs and spices.

- La Fee classic Blanche (clear) absinthe, displays a more pronounced fennel character, with less anis.
- No sugar is required for the traditional serve, as Blanche has a naturally softer, sweeter character.
- La Fee Blanche and Parisienne are endorsed by The French Absinthe Museum (Auvers-sur-Oise).
- Each distillation is personally tested and approved by Marie-Claude Delahaye - world renowned Absinthe expert and historian; founder and curator of the museum.
- A style historically associated with bootleg Absinthe, following the bans; as a clear spirit was harder to identify.
- Traditional serving: one part Blanche to 2-4 parts iced water, turning a milky white.
- Absinthe is no stranger to cocktails, being an essential ingredient for all bars during the Belle Epoque.
- La Fee Absinthe Blanche is a deliciously different ingredient for both traditional and modern cocktails.

I've tried many different Absinthes. La Fee Parisian is STILL the Absinthe I prefer over all others. It has great flavor and is REALLY STRONG (Alcohol content)) and for some reason it doesn't give me acid reflux like many of the new Absinthe "Boutique" brands! It is well balanced and always fun to drink (responsibly, of course!)
I think if you've never tried an Absinthe before, La Fee should be the first that you try. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of Absinthes available world-wide. I still purchase La Fee regularly and of the different "formulas" La Fee offers, Parisian is my Fave. Now they're even giving you a louching spoon---Can't have too many of those!!!

Nothing special 4 April 2012
Don't believe the hype, this isn't a good absinthe, just a cheap one. It's even artificially coloured! The flavour isn't very complex and it's hard to tease out the non-aniseed flavours. Personally I don't like to sugar my absinthe and the only way I could make it palatable was by mixing it in equal parts with bitter lemon. However it then made a very nice drink that in moderation gave a good feeling and had no unwanted effects the next morning so I decided to be generous and give it 3 stars. I doubt I'll buy it again though.

BTW If you've got a bit of extra cash and want to try a really good absinthe, my current favourite is the "Brut d'Alambic" Essai 5 (B003XE4H0E), but there are plenty of others to choose from.
