Just a quick comment - encountered severe problems after installation - the first thing to point out is that the driver set is not recognised as an approved set of Drivers by Windows, which in itself is disturbing.

However, this is nothing compared to the enjoyment you can have by XP subsequently crashing after a 'suucessful' install. This occurred on both a laptop and a desktop - the laptop provided a blue screen of death, indicating problems with IRQ, whereas the desktop essentially froze. The only solution in both instances was to uninstall the Camera software.

Father in law has Vista and hasn't suffered the same problem, so perhaps Vista is more tolerant of the drivers.

It's not a bad camera but this is NOT a night vision cam. Which came as a disappointment because that's why I ordered two of them. When I opened the box I found it's just an ordinary web cam of average quality. When it gets dark in the room, the 6 LEDs will come on and illuminate the person in front of the camera. That's not night vision, that's a webcam with a torch. If that's good enough for you, fine, but if you're looking for a proper night vision cam give this one a miss. It's not what it says it is.

Unlike the description states - "6 Infrared Emitters on both sides of the Lens" they LED's are actually just white LED's that really dont help much in the dark.

The build quality on the other hand is excellent. As a webcam it is very good for the money... but dont expect decent night vision because it will let you down.
