Great time saving gadget,

The reviews helped me decide to buy this product. So I am happy to say this little gadget is great. It charged my new ipod touch 2nd gen. a lot quicker than using my laptop. The review I read had mentioned my model of ipod or I would of had bother deciding. Well worth its bargin price.

Cracking piece of kit, very compact, very light, charges my 80g classic ipod and the wife's shuffle with no problems, infact i'm on line now to buy another. Do NOT bother with similar items that are only a penny and other silly prices, my dad bought a couple and had loads of trouble. This was three pound odd and definately worth the couple of quid extra. As you can see from the other reviews this is a belter. Stop looking and buy this one.

I'm very pleased with this charger. It's small & light, works well, and feels sturdily built.
It's not a fault with the charger, but there's a subtle technical point which might explain why people have had trouble charging certain devices. This charger has a standard 4-pin USB 'A' connector - but some devices have a 5-pin USB 'mini-B' connector, and use the voltage on the fifth 'ID' pin to deduce what they are connected to. This pin is not connected in most cables, so the device may think it is connected to a computer rather than a charger, and may wait forever for the computer to respond. (The device should still be charging, but its screen may not indicate this.)
