1) Simply attach NT-060 Mini Microphone to the earphone socket on iPod nano 4G or 120GB iPod classic, it'll unlock the voice recording software already installed on the device, the "Voice memos" option will be shown on the main menu of iPod.
2) When using it on iPod touch 2G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G or iPhone, you need to download and install recording software such as iTalk Recorder or Easy Recorder etc. on the device first.

This mic does exactly what it says on the tin. It works right out the box (no software needed) with my iPod Touch 3G (not the latest one with the camera). I use it at school to record and playback childrens music performances and it is great, sensitive mic with crystal clear and loud sound better than heaving a big ol chunky but funky old school recorder. I havent tested it with the very very latest iPod Touch as I do not own one.

I bought this product to be able to record interviews.It is small and sleek and easy to carry with you. Unfortunately it did not come with any instructions and since I am useless with all things technical (except for kitchen gadgets) I erased my first two interviews when I tried to listen to them. Third time lucky and I was most impressed with the sound quality. So you are not to unplug it before you play the recording back the first time, which did not surprise my husband so maybe this is common knowledge for most people. In conclusion I think it is a great product functionally, esthetically and most of all- price wise. I would think a short list of instructions could be handy.

This is a very neat little microphone for the iPod touch.Good value for money. I am now able to have conversations with the "Talking Tomcat" one of the Apps on my IPod Touch, It's hilarious, loads of fun.

Nifty little gadget
This is a nifty little gadget, just plug in and use. Definitely worth every penny. Bought for my daughter to use with her old iPod touch.

imrovement on the iphone4 is marginal
although they say it is for an iphone 4, it does not work. There is an interrupting "clicking" in recordings. Ok, now it works, not sure what the issue was perhaps the app (iTalk)? Read more

Mic for iPod
Very happy with mic does it's job very well would have been better if the iPod had a mic built in for the price!
