Amazon Verified Purchase
I was desperately in need of an XD card reader because my computer only had the SD slot. All credit to the seller, the item was here the next day but I wish i'd picked up something much better.
Starting with the positive, the reader itself is easy to use, just plug it into the usb port and you have your pictures up in no time (the picture files load quickly, it takes a while to load the actual picture). However, copying 380 pictures to my hard drive took around 20 minutes. That's how long it should take for me to copy a file of at least 6 gigabytes, not 512mb. I just find it too hard to rate it more than two stars. Others have given 5 stars because it suits their needs, but I really don't expect to be waiting 20 minutes to copy a few hundred pictures. That's my only gripe, the speed of the usb. I'm sure that those of you who have the patience of a saint will get along just fine, but I'm rating it on my personal opinion.
Currently, as I'm about to submit this review, I should probably say that to copy a picture of 1.2 megabytes, my mac is "estimating time remaining". That is how slow things are going. So doesn't matter if you have the patience of a saint anymore, find the nearest tub of lube and stick the usb where the sun doesn't shine. And just to add insult to injury, it's now frozen copying the pictures. It's enough to make you tear your hair out!
Just to let you know how I eventually got on, the transfer of pictures from the card to the mac froze midway. The only way to unfreeze it was to manually shut down my imac. This corrupted the whole XD card so I couldn't open any of the pictures! What's more, it was my grandparents card which they gave to me to copy the pictures...it contained many, many memories.
HOWEVER (AND THIS IS WORTH READING IF YOU EXPERIENCE THE SAME!) I FOUND A PIECE OF SOFTWARE (NOT SURE IF I AM ALLOWED TO NAME IT HERE) WHICH ALLOWED ME TO RESTORE ALL THE PICTURES ON THE XD CARD. UNBELIEVABLY IT WORKED, AND I NOW HAVE ALL THE PICTURES BACK.
While the product is awful, i eventually managed to get all my pictures back. Please, for your own sake, avoid this at all costs. I'm certain that after my experience with this i must have some grey hair coming through!

Very pleased with the speed it can produce images from my card. Great value for money in considering what it is. Will consider shopping with you again.

Convenient
A convenient way of downloading photos etc..but found its just as easy to plug in via a usb cable rather than struggling to get the memory card out and in again....Not used much.
