An amazing story, read by Stephen King proving that he is not just a writer but a brilliant story teller as well. Stephen King is captivating as he tells the story of LT and his Theory of Pets. LT purchases a cat for his wife, which she hates but he loves, and his wife purchases a dog for LT which he hates but she loves. This is not atypical of Stephen King and is certainly not a horror story, more a tale or fable. A side-splittingly funny performance from Stephen King, it makes excellent listening in the car or at home and I would recommend this to all Stephen King fans.

This is a wonderful portrayal of a married couple and how they interact between themselves and their pets. There was only one element I didn't like, and that was because it seemed so unnessicary. It seemed like I could hear him thinking, "I'm the King of Horror and people expect some element of Horror in my stories, so I'll have..." The story was wonderful without it, and it didn't add anything to the story for me. But, remember, I did love the story.

I haven't listened to the audiobook, but i have read this story recently in a SK book: Everything's Eventual ( 14 short stories), and the story itself is very good...quite humourus, and, having 3 cats myself, can see quite a few truths!!!
V.good for a quick dose of SK, if ur short on time oneday.....
