Initially attracted by Aunia Kahn's work and perhaps a little underwhelmed by some of the others when I looked at the single images for the smaller version, this however brings it all to life. Whereas I would have been left glossing over some of the artists given their single depictions of a major card, this book brings together their depth. And what a revelation it is!

It is easy to see that the energy and imagination particularly within the USA has gone into Art and the vibrancy of the end result, despite overlapping ideas amongst the artists, each still manages to capture an individual take upon the world and I never get tired of seeing new artists, each bringing a change in perspective. This book complements numerous others stretching from pop surrealism, lowbrow, sculpture and shifting into music, tattooing and clothes.

The hardback is beautifully laid out, the colours are rich and deep, the scale of each artist allows the reader to access their imaginary worlds, so what would you not want?

Great book but.... 11 Dec. 2012

Great book but it's not clear that it's not the cards too. I enjoy the book - but wouldn't have bought it if I had known it was just the book.

Dedicated to the love of divination and self exploration. May you find a close connection with your soul.
The Moon, Jennybird said; So, in my depiction of the Moon card, the wolves aren't separate from the Moon; they are connected to her through the tangle of vines sprouting from her mind and plunging into the waters of the subconscious below. The moon has a dark aspect depicted by the snarling animal in her keyhole belly but at the same time she is holding a sleeping bunny doll which, for me, is a symbol of safety and protection. The journey into the night is fraught with danger but beyond the dark path and out of the deep pools there is a golden horizon, lending assurance to the wanderer that the journey is worth the risks involved.

This book has magnificent cards and will delight you from the start. It is just amazing, outstanding, and One of the best books I have read. It is an artistic collaborative effort in Honor of Tarot. I was given this book from Schiffer Publishing [...]

Excellent addition to any pop surrealism collection! 20 Jun. 2013

This is an excellent addition to any pop surrealism collection and a really great book! There are lots of images far more than the tarot deck itself and it's a beautifully bound and organized collection. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes Pops surrealism, lowbrow, tarot decks, or anything of the like. Really great book.
