  • Sow 4-8 weeks prior to the last frost under cover with warmth at 18-24C (65-75F) in a good fine seed compost. Sow seeds on surface of compost and gently firm down the compost.
  • Keep soil damp but not wet, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful to retain humidity and save watering whilst young. Do not exclude light. Germination takes 10-21 days depending on temperature.
  • When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant in bunches to trays and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 10cm (4in) apart in a sunny spot in light, moist soil.
  • Professional DEFRA licenced Quality Seed Supply only - Minimal packaging - Ziplock labelled bags - Instructions not attached - See details provided above for cultivation advice.

They come packed in a foil sachet, they germinate just fine. (with a very very small seed failure rate, if at all. Couldn't say I noticed any, however I'm sure there'll be a few). Mine are now 2cm and doing well. I've used other local branded packs at double and triple the price which have failed in many different ways. What's important to me is they are not to old or incorrectly stored this ensures good start with brilliant end results. These are perfect, all seed should be stored in these kind of conditions reducing failure rates drastically. I used these last year with head turning results.
