Product Description

Miranda Carrington has been secretly in love with her boss for years, but after getting involved with his twin brother, Jack, and also spending one passionate night with Holt, she has a serious problem. Miranda is pregnant and doesn't know which one of them is the father.

HOLT was incorrigible, impossible, domineering, and…Miranda was hopelessly in love with him.

JACK was everything a woman could want in a man. He was kind and generous, a fabulous lover, and he wasn't afraid of commiting to a relationship. And yet, she couldn’t seem to bury the memory of Holt’s searing kisses or the shameless way her body responded to his touch.

NOW ON KINDLE: IN THE ARMS OF A STRANGER, #2 in The Carrington Series

After waiting in the dark hotel room for her fiancé and then spending the most wonderful, passionate night of her life in his arms, the misgivings Brianne has been having about the wedding are disspelled. That is, until she wakes in the morning and discovers a mix up with the room keys has brought a stranger to her bed instead.

Jake is just as shocked as Brianne when he realizes he made love to the wrong woman, but that doesn't keep him from conspiring to have her again or from trying to win her heart.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read 20 Feb 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed reading this story and had to finish it before I could go to bed. I thought it was well written, with some lovely touches of humour and the duplicity was very cleverly maintained. There were moments when I felt it could have been better explained and I felt the heroine was too quickly forgiving towards the end. That is why it gets 4 stars and not 5. There is a 2nd book in this series which I am about to go and search for. I would thoroughly recommend this book if you enjoy a good romance with a happy ending.

4.0 out of 5 stars romance with a little twist 2 Feb 2012

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Miranda has been in love with her boss Holt for years. After a mishap with her dress for new year and a nasty incident with a horrible man, she gets rescued by Holt's brother Jack. The book initially centres around this new relationship she starts with Jack before moving back onto her relationship with Holt when she returns back to work after a weeks holiday. The game played between these two men is very interesting, with a few twists along the way. I had figured out the ending at the beginning but would still recommend giving this book a go as its a new take on the three-way relationship. Be prepared for a few typos but as long as you can get past that, definately give this one a go, especially as it only took me a couple of hours continuous reading and was worth it!

2.0 out of 5 stars The lies are not "little" 21 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have two main issues with this book. The first is almost minor and the second was too much for me and destroyed my enjoyment of the book.

Miranda is the plain and boring, but efficient, secretary. When she has to borrow her sister's dress to go to a party and, therefore, dresses in a very different style than usual her boss and lots of other men find her instantly attractive. I found this quite insulting to Miranda (and women in general). It appears that her boss was so shallow that he didn't notice her until she was wearing a revealing outfit - I am not quite sure what she saw in him.

The second issue would involve too many spoilers to outline in full. Just to say that the little white lie of the title was actually a whopper and I did not believe it nor did I think that Miranda should have forgiven it.

Unbelievable and shallow. Not for me.
