Product Description

Product Description

An original short story by writer and filmmaker Shad Clark.

Born to an industrialized supply line of universal organ donors, Ziggy was bred to look like an ordinary piglet even if his eyes, lungs, liver, pancreas, kidneys, intestines and heart are, more or less, human. But unlike all the other cloned pigs, Ziggy is born with human hands and feet. This makes him the unknowing subject of an experiment in which he’s raised as a normal child in a house with no mirrors. When he finally sees himself for what he is, he sets out to find his mother, convinced that only she could love such a creature.

5.0 out of 5 stars Little Boy Pig is a Must-Read Future Classic 3 Mar 2010
By Marika - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Little Boy Pig, by Shad Clark, is a sensitive and powerful cautionary tale that is at once both heartwarming and heartbreaking. Ziggy, our half boy, half pig protagonist, all innocence, naiveté and sincerity, is on an important mission to find his mother's heart, finding himself thrust between two figures: the kind, generous and caring Nanny who looks after him and the Geneticist, an anesthetized, icy, heartless figure. Clark's poignant vision of the future is a sharp commentary on how we as a society treat our fellow beings on this Earth - and a true criticism of present day practice, ethics and values. A must-read for adults and children alike, Little Boy Pig is a future classic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent story, kudos to Shad Clark! 10 Mar 2010
By E. Wiedemann - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This terrific short story is an introspective look into the darker and brighter side of human/animal relations. The disassociation humanity has of animal byproducts found inside humans is brought to light in this allegorical tale. Read it, share it's existence.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Story 4 Mar 2010
By Linda R. Warsing - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This is a fantastic and well written story. Makes you think about about how many people treat animals as a commodity, instead of the beautiful creatures they really are.
