I had read the reviews from hi-Fi magazines , some of which you take with a pinch of salt, but this really does make a difference to your equipment.

Got this for high quality Hi-fi I have built up as wanted a conditioner NOT surge protection that does no favours to Hi-Fi sound! However, this does have some surge protection that is not really clear on advert, but is on packaging. Suffice to say, plugging amp into it, did take an edge off sound (as lots of reviewers state) so ended up plugging in CD etc into this but amp straight to wall socket as it requires more power to drive it...sound really good so happy.

Cuts out most, if not all studio noise given off by poor mains power and loud equipment. Highly recommended as an alternative to a power conditioner such as Furman, which is very expensive! Thanks Amazon for quick delivery also.

Short review: A wider, crisper soundstage with extended dynamics is what you get with this power gang, well worth it's cost. 5/5.

Mains conditioner? Noise filter? Really? What a load of money grabbing rubbish is what I originally thought about products like this until I decided to bite the bullet and order one of these bad boys up. Starting with the unboxing stage. The product is well packaged in the classic Hi-Fi product plastic wrapping. The power gang is well crafted and is built solidly. I would say the cable could be a few meters longer for the price but hey, most setups have power sockets by the equipment rack. The sockets are also something I'm quite happy to talk about, they have a 'light plug in action' meaning that it doesn't take too much effort to plug plugs in and remove them and believe me, if this is situated underneath a glass Hi-Fi rack with limited space as mine is, it makes life much, much more easier.

Moving onto the purpose of the product: to clean/filter the mains AC signal. Let me run through some of my equipment: A pair of Kef Q500 speakers, NAD C542i and a Musical Fidelity X-A1 stereo amp. This setup is independent of the home cinema (AV amp etc) kit I have. The first thing I noticed was there wasn't that 'hiss' you can get from the mains ground loop. This was always noticeable in my setup when the setup was idle.

The first track I played was 'Money' by Pink Floyd from their Dark Side Of The Moon CD. Many audiophiles rave about this CD because of it's shear quality in the recording. The whole performance was un-mistakenly crisp and clean and packed plenty of punch from the kick drum. The bass guitar was well seperated and wasn't 'muddy', the treble from the hats was clean and didn't hurt your ears and all of that was after plugging in the Lindy Mains Conditioner. Before, instruments in Money weren't as clear and crisp and the bass was muddled in with the rest of the song, leaving a confused sound.

Really good item, especially if you have an AV System with a Sub Woofer attached, which is humming. Tried several changes to my system, but this one resolved the issue.

I bought this to help stop mains clicks from upsetting dj controller and laptop when using a smoke machine.
It has managed to fix that problem so I'm happy.
