I wanted a serviceable ironing board for a holiday house that would stow away into a small cupboard and just do its job when needed. It's exactly what I was looking for. It's a bit lower than a normal one, but perfectly well made. Most importantly the neat size is really helpful (it fits into a tiny space beside some shelves), it's easy to put up and down, and I have no problems ironing on it as an occasional thing. It might annoy me a bit if I had to iron a lot of stuff on it for hours at a time - for heavy-duty household needs, I'd get a bigger, more solid one. I confess I got an extra padded cover to put on it as its own cover is unreasonably thin.
