This multipurpose 20" monitor is one of the new w42 series from LG. With a slimline silver bezel and a screen incorporating LG's picture enhancing chip - the Flatron f engine. This technology allows the monitor to display colours that are vivid and natural. In addition the brightness and contrast are enhanced providing a contrast ratio of 8000 1.

    Had the monitor for a few weeks.
    Monitor was easy to set up.

    It does not have a DVI connection.
    There is one that does - LG L206WU 20" Wide 2ms LCD TFT Monitor Glossy Black, USB 2.0 Hub DVI - D 5000:1. or
    LG W2042T 20" Widescreen DVI 5ms Silver LCD Monitor - Tilt Stand.

    Resolution is 1680 x 1050 which gives the monitor clear sharp pictures. Its energy saving and good value for money. The screen is adjustable to 4:3 wide. Also the colours are rich and the black colours are really black. I didn't have any dead pixels either which was great.

    I am really happy with this monitor for the price and it does not detract from the quality of the product.

    This is my first wide screen monitor so I don't really have anything to compare it too, I was considering a 22" but glad I didn't as this 20" is as big as I would think anyone would need for a P.C.
    The quality all round is amazing no dead pixels so far. the Monitor Bezel is very modern and the buttons / controls are easy to master... my only issue would be that there is no hard copy of the instructions, they are on the instalation CD In pdf file format, so you will need Adobe to open and save it. But this is the case now with lots of P.C. Hardware & software. The base and monitor are easily assembled with one seperate connecting piece. I have bought this monitor specifically for for video editing and so far it has proved to be perfect for the sofware I chose Powerdirector 7. I would definitley recomend this monitor... Although I notice it is now £10 more than I paid for it, but I would still recommend it at this price. Fantastic

    I owned it with only 91.99. It exhibit a great performance. It used as an external monitor connected to a laptop.1680*1050. I could play movie with a wide screen, not on my laptop, only 14.1 screen.
