LG Optimus 2X P990 HD Android Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black

The LG Optimus 2x P990 HD Smart-Phone is the business, why? well it was down to 3 handsets, this (1)+ 'then' the HTC Sensation, which is my 2nd Fav, then the 1st Fav, "was" the Samsung Galaxy SII, (And its possibly the best on the market but my budget would not stretch another Extra £150 for the Samsung Galaxy SII at a whooping £489 at time of this review. Nevertheless Im very happy with the: "LG Optimus 2x P990" deffo best value for the money, and cash speaks oodles especially I think the present price is a bargain. (Tho, Im not allowed to mention price in review). rules.

Anyways, this Phone has the new nVidia Tegra 2 CPU/GPU all in one tiny piece of wonderful hardware which give sit not only 2x Dual Core RAW 1GHz Processing power, but extraordinary Graphics power that is good for very impressive sharp, clean and detailed Hi Def Hi-Contrast screen, especially Once you Zoom in you can see everything which is Beautiful I must say, I've read a few decent reviews before my Purchase and the (Tegra x2) pulled me in I must say together with the wonderful Build Quality LG are re-known for, and they have thrown in everything at this particular Phone and the kitchen sink too.

I am very happy indeed with my purchase and would thoroughly recommend this smart-phone to anyone, providing the current price dose stay low, because of the competition, I did NOT buy mine on Amazon UK this time because it was cheaper elsewhere, but now Amazon UK are the cheapest for this Smart-Phone. (however check around before you buy).

The screen is the Capacitive touch type which just barely needs a touch from the electric flowing from your bodies own finger tips, and is very very fast indeed, forget Blackberry's you can now type faster on this than my long gone Blackberry 9700. they Qwerty physical keypads days are numbered. (believe me) why? are hundreds of millions buying the iPhone's and Japanese manufactures like Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony all going Capacitive touch screen Android - for example? and the new LG P990 here, if the old fashioned physical keypads finished, that's why Blackberry will soon have to make the switch to the Capacitive touch type.. it soon be all this way? why? much faster.! plus give the screen a wipe.! simplezz..

The OS I'm using is 2.2 Android and have not yet updated it to ginger-bread Android 2.3,, its got to be there I just need to spend some time downloading new kit free online from the Android Market Place, or LG support. however Im well familiar with 2.2 so I'm in no great rush.

Main Pros: Build, speedy dual Core 2x CPU, Android OS, very solid and could survive a knock (But get a case). No Bugs, seems a pleasure to use, 1500Mah Battery which does last the full day. needing charged at night time consider that if you use the phone a lot. Main selling point ATM: Price compare to similar Hi Spec dual core competition, this one has it all.

+Plus forgot to mention brilliant HD Camera which works even indoors in decent light. However, did not buy for camera its just a bonus. will possibly never use it.!

Check the reviews on-line before you buy if your not sure about this Phone, you will not be disappointed with what they have to say. no probs.there.!

For the low price this Android phone is great and works really well. An upgrade to Android 2.3 is supposedly on the way, but 2.2 is pretty good. The camera flash is not so great and tends to bleach pictures. Battery life is not bad, but no worse than other dual core smartphones. mp3 playback is good. Video recording is quite good too. Overall for the price it is a great phone. Due to its dual core cpu the phone is fast. Connectivity works well: wi-fi, usb etc. Signal good. LG bundled social apps are not as good as official ones: Twitter, Facebook. But there is a MySpace app and as yet there is not an official on for Android. 3rd party ROMS can also run on this phone and maybe it will see Android 4 ICS. Be warned that LG have stated that they will not support Android 4 on this phone.

I bought this phone just a month ago and just can't put it down. Totally addictive! The screen is superb and very responsive, super fast operation, lovely tactile feel to the phone in the hand, weight and size just perfect. Does just about everything one could wish for and more and an absolute bargain at less than £300. Needs a nice leather pouch to protect it and I got one for a fiver. Needs charging every day, maybe even more if it's constantly being used like mine but don't they all? Highly recommended.
