Having had this TV for 18 months, I can genuinely say that it is a great product. My dad bought one for his bedroom and the HD quality was fantastic, so I asked for one for my bedroom. I have a Sky+ HD box and I wanted a full HD screen to enjoy it on, as well as the fact that I had bought a laptop with a HDMI port, so I wanted to connect it and stream my Sky account whilst at university via the internet. It works brilliantly. The TV has a fantastic picture quality (I personally believe LG has one of the best pictures in the business) although the sound isn't the best, it isn't bad either. The USB port comes in handy too if I want to play music through my TV (which I don't really, I just connect my HDMI wire and run iTunes through that) - but it's still a handy tool. When I first bought this (from Currys) the TV actually had a fault and I thought "dear me, I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come!" However, I took it back to the shop, they replaced it immediately, and it has been great ever since.
The "settings" menu is really clear - which is always important to me, as I hate convoluted TV settings. It was simple and to-the-point, which I appreciate. I really can't commend the picture quality enough - I watch a lot of sports, and I genuinely believe that the picture on this is better than on our living room TV, a Samsung 42" plasma screen (1080i). The footballers and the ball are crystal clear (if you're watching in HD, of course), and the details on nature shows is unreal! (Watching "Planet Earth Live" has been a real viewing pleasure on this)! A really good quality purchase for a really fair price, far better than supermarket own-brand/cheaper version full-HD televisions of the same specification (they seem like a good deal, but trust me, the picture quality isn't a patch on this, having witnessed a friend's for myself!) I also previously had a Neon LCD TV with a built-in DVD player and Freeview. It broke repeatedly. Buy cheap - pay twice as much in the long-run. Never a truer word spoken. The only reason I've given it four stars instead of five is because of the initial fault on the first TV I purchased, and the fact the sound quality could be slightly better. Other than that, a really good buy.
