Amazon Verified Purchase
I was wary as this is a 'monitor' TV combination but I need not have been because, above all, it is a Korean built LG. It is exceptional value for money with a superb 19-inch picture getting, in my case, 143 freeview TV and dozens of radio programmes and the sound is NOT tinny, but clarity itself. I cannot recommend this higher, particularly as it's only £164 AND a 19-inch LG with a ruby red base and piano black upper finish.

There may be better 19 inch flat tv's out there but this one is more than adequate for our purposes. The picture is excellent on the built in tuner, really easy to set up, and the guide is quick to flick through. For such a great price you would be hard pressed to beat it's features, and of course it's a leading brand so it shouldn't be too much trouble to get support if anything happens to go wrong. There are so many different settings it should be easy to get the display and sound you are looking for, again very simple menus to do this. I tried it with the dvd, a small cheap upscaler, and the picture is excellent even through the scart cable, and I am hoping for even better when using a hdmi cable but that is in the post at the moment. The autotune also does the analogue channels so, for the moment, if you don't have a great freeview signal, like us, then if you get "break up" you can swap to analogue until it sorts itself out.
Some people have said the sound isn't fantastic but quite honestly this is to be expected on a screen of this size and is ok for me. You can always connect it to something to improve this but frankly if it's for a bedroom or kitchen then why bother.
All in all an excellent purchase.

I cannot comment on this as a monitor for a pc but as a TV for the bedroom it is fab. The picture and build quality is excellent. Previous reviews have mentioned the sound quality as being tinny, I however think the sound quality is good enough and have no issues with it whatsoever.
Overall for the price, this model offers smart modern looks and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Never the same picture
When switched on after a period of some hours the picture brightness is either much too high or much too low despite the numerical settings remaining the same.
