We purchased this with a pay as you go first phone. It has a lot of functions- camara, video, web browser, email, fm radio, music, calendar, drawing pad, voice recorder, calculator and photo's. We only wanted a phone though! The touch screen is quite responsive, and there is a small plastic tipped metal device which is useful for typing as the keys are quite small. With the phone held so it's short and fat the letter keyboard is like a mobile phone three letters to a key. However turn the device through 90deg and a full but small querty keyboard appears. The scroll function can be done with the finger or using a scroll bar on the right hand side. This is not as sensitive as one would like, but may be that the user is left handed and the device is set up for right handed folk. The device takes a micro SD card, which will give it an advantage over other phone/mp3 players where once the memory is full there is no possibility to change music unless you connect to a pc. The main gripe is that it goes into stand by or shut down after only a few seconds, even with power save set to off! The other gripe is the charger/pc connection cable- not a standard USB connection looks closest to a nintendo charger but is not the same as any other device we have so another cable to carry around!
Over all at less than £75 a good purchase.
