On the surface of it this is an ideal solution for those that do not want the trauma of hiding cables and wires galore with a conventional home cinema system however this sound bar is not what it pretends to be. The quality is questionable and there is an issue. Between programs and say for instance adverts, when there is a change on the TV, there is a 2 second lag / sound drop-out i.e. the sound will cut-in in mid sentence if sound commences right at the begining of the advert / program. This is not a syncro issue, it is a delay in pick-up. My tv is a recently purchased modern LG 50" Plasma and is connected to the sound bar with the digi optical cable. Very disappointingly, LG customer help (unhelpful) line don't know, don't want to know, don't call back when promised, don't really care. Won't touch any more LG products in future (this was a present from my son due to poor quality sound on the TV in the first place!). I feel very cheated! ... so, go Panasonic would be my recommendation, significantly superior products / quality / customer service.

This unit looks great, has nice sleek design and feels reassuringly heavy.
However, the performance is terrible. It sounds tinny and cheap and does not fill the room even in my modest 8'x8' sitting room.
There is a noticeable delay when listening to music between the wireless sub and speaker bar.
I've returned the unit, as at £220, there are much better options available.
I've always avoided LG products in the past and I should have stuck to my instincts.
However, the performance is terrible. It sounds tinny and cheap and does not fill the room even in my modest 8'x8' sitting room.
There is a noticeable delay when listening to music between the wireless sub and speaker bar.
I've returned the unit, as at £220, there are much better options available.

THIS BROKE WITHIN 2 MONTHS AND LG WOULD NOT REPLACE IT!!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM LG IS ALSO TERRIBLE THEY BLAME EVERYONE ELSE
