I bought this product from Amazon (not the seller currently stated) and had a quick delivery, really well packaged and for a fantastic price considering it's a drive that will do just about anything you need it for.
The drive was really easy to install, with loads of software included.
When spinning at 40x speed it's not event that loud either.
I've burned images using the lightscibe software which is good quality, and have had no problems what-so-ever burning cd's, dvd's, watching films e.t.c.
Buy this drive now you won't be dissapointed.

This is a fantastic product, especially if you don't want to splash out on a dedicated BD player. The added bonus it plays HD-DVDs that are going cheap at the moment. Easy to fit, I have mine in a USB2 Sata enclosure and it's pretty quiet. It spins up reasonably quickly and 16x DVD writing isn't that bad when you consider most DVD discs are only quoted as 16x compatible. The software that comes with it is a little unstable, best to download the latest updates from Cyberlink, as this improves stability and gives you 6ch audio compatibility.

Does what it says on the box. Plays BlueRay discs without a problem and includes the software to do so (PowerDVD). Not tried HD-DVDs but everything else works fine, and it's quiet.

LG Blu-ray HD Player
This item was easily instaled. It would not play BLU-ray or HD without a special BLU-RAY grafics card more cost, Which was duly ordered and instaled.Now works great.

Blu movies...
I got this blu ray player to read avchd/h.264 8cm miniDVDs from my Canon HR10 camcorder. I could find nowhere stating that it did do this just that blu ray specs say it should. Read more
