I used an LG DVD writer in my PC for years with zero problems, burning absolutely everything without complaint, so I never even considered another brand when it came time to upgrade to a BluRay drive.
Easy to install, auto recognised by Windows XP, didn't bother installing anything from the accompanying driver CD, and it works perfectly.
One note, as a 'bare' pack, I presumed this would ship without a SATA cable and power cable, and therefore bought them seperately. When the drive arrived I was pleasantly surprised to find a SATA data cable and a molex to SATA power adapter lead in the box, as well as the installation CD.

I bought this Blu-Ray burner to make backing up files easier from my 1.5terabyte hard drive. The drive came and I was able to install it within 15 minutes and was burning my first blu-ray disc five minutes after that. I had heard some people say that given the amount of data being burnt it took a lot longer than burning a DVD but I find the time it takes to burn to be reasonable. The drive is quite and I would have no hesitation in recommending this drive to anyone.

Boy these players are easy to install and use.
I changed two of them over for my existing DVD writers and they were up and running within seconds and haven't stopped since. They have played everything I have thrown at them, and I have even backed up some of my 3D movies with them too.
10/10 from me.
