How Does 3D TV Work?
Creating 3D TV images involves mimicking the way that our eyes work in normal life. As our eyes are about three inches apart, each eye sees a slightly different perspective of our surroundings and the brain merges these two images together, using the difference to calculate depth. So, 3D TV recreates this process by showing two slightly different images and using special glasses to separate them.

What Can I View in 3D?
The range of 3D content available is rapidly increasing. Film studios such as Disney have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to developing even more in 3D and Sky’s dedicated 3D channel will bring a compelling range of content from sports and movies to documentaries.

600Hz
LG's 600Hz Plasma technology provides zero motion blur and an ultimate razor sharp response time perfect for watching high speed sports and movies in both 2D and 3D.

TruBlack Filter
TruBlack Filter blocks glare and reflections on the TV screen to enhance and improve picture quality and contrast. This means you can enjoy a distortion free viewing experience even in brightly-lit rooms.

NetCast™ Entertainment Access brings the best of the internet directly to your TV, without the need for a computer. Amazing 2 Dec 2010
    By GC
I bought this with reservations I wanted a Panasonic but im glad I didnt with all the issues that come with Panasonic and the higher price I decided to try my luck with the LG and boy am I glad, this set is amazing the HD quality is fantastic but is the standard def that im most pleased with as it is spot on which I was surprised about being as its a big TV in a small space.
Ive yet to try the 3D as I dont have a 3D bluray player YET!! there is one niggle with this part and its the fact you only get one pair of 3D glasses which I find daft and a bit of a cope out as 90% of people wont watch tv alone at least 2 pairs would have been sensible but I guess they can make more money this way.

All in all this is a fantastic TV with great picture quality and stunning thin looks id recommend to all.

I have had this tv for 6 months now, and although the 2d picture for blu-rays is amazing, the 3d is a let down, if you really want to focus on 3d, please look to another tv like the sony led 903 it has way way way better 3d... alhough it's also twice as expensive, but you get what you pay for i guess.

The 3d on this machine adds a little depth, but nothing really comes out of the screen as you would expect with a 3d tv. Also dependant on the glasses provided the ones ending 100 are really bad for both xtalk and syncing constantly with the tv, causing you to see flashes... It really does spoil the viewing.

For 2d purposes, if you're an lg fan get the few years ago model 350 i think, people rave about it and it's a third of the price.

I you do get this forget it for ps3 gaming, or xbox, as popular games have static symbols, i have had a level bar image retention at the bottom of my screen for over a month now. And when you get carried away in a game the last thing you're thinking about is image retention, and color/white washing you're tv. Plasma's really are high maintenance. SO BE CAREFUL

Fortunately my tv has little to no line bleed, however Check av forum online for comments of people who have this tv (including myself), most of them are returning it and getting another brand of tv due to the many many flaws.

This TV is excellent, The 2D performance is exceptional and the 3D expierence is far better than any TV this year.

It may be a late entry for LG with its plasma but its definately been worth the wait, this tv sets a new standard in 3D quality and all for less than most 42 3D LEDs.

    Worth every penny.
