Excellent Value for Money,

I am a big fan of this television, and of LG Audio/Visual products in general actually (not their phones but this is another story!). Its very important when thinking about this television how much you are spending in comparison to some other televisions of its size.
Firstly the television itself is gorgeous. It has a glossy black surround, slightly red tinted, with a similar clear glass edging to some to of the Samsung models. The LG logo and buttons are only visible when the television is on. Despite its size it looks unobtrusive when wall mounted. Being an LED TV it is obviously very thin, even so it is a lot heavier than I imagined LED TVs to be having seen them on the high street! With regards to inputs there is an excellent selection HDMI, Digital Audio In/Out, LAN, USB, Scart, Composite....etc. all in sufficient quantity. I have my surround sound/bluray, Wii, Cable box, Wii, Xbox and (intermittently) computer all connected without issue. Picture quality is excellent, even on Standard (Digital) Definition. The 100Hz makes a difference for sure. HD TV channels look good, but are made to look poor by the fantastic quality on Blu-ray. Friends were very impressed and the images look almost 3 dimensional, especially Avatar which looks positively luscious. There is barely a blur on movement, even the fast scenes. A full black screen is not completely uniform but I think thats quite forgiveable given the price. Sound quality is always the let down on LED TVs but its perfectly passable on this model. For sure anything more taxing than standard broadcasts are a little beyond the TVs internal speakers, but if you're buying a 42 inch LED then I would be surprised if you haven't invested in surround sound yet! Feature-wise the TV is packed. Im a big believer in gadgets but I dont really understand why you would want the internet on your TV when the laptop does it so much better! It does have picasa, youtube and accuweather however which are quite useful. I'm happy to report the DNLA is fantastic and manages to stream LotR in high definition without issue. Music is fantastically well handled and is only improved by connection through Digital Audio Out into the surround sound. There are a collection of pointless yet oddly compelling in-built minigames! In summary I believe at £650 (which I paid) this represents excellent value for money. The features are good, picture excellent (worth investing in blu-ray if you havent already!) and sound adequate to good.

I'd been looking for an LED HD TV for a while and after reading various product reviews, decided to go with this one - and I'm really glad I did.
The TV was well easy to set up and looks fantastic. The picture is really clear and there as loads of options for tweaking the picture and sound (if you're not 100% about the defaults), that anyone can customise 'til they are truly happy! I bought a Philips Blu Ray player to go with this TV - and together they are absolutely amazing. They look and sound brilliant. I was worried that I might decide I'd need to upgrade a lot of my DVDs to Blu Ray because of the artefacts caused by the upscaling, but the Blu Ray player upscales perfectly and the TV handles the picture excellently! I couldn't have bought a better TV, especially for the price!

Caved in to family pressure and finally replaced my old Sony. After trawling around the superstores, decided on this model.
Very pleased with the tv , excellent picture and easy to set up. Sound as expected was not up to the old crt Sony but ok. Wanted to link it to my home cinema but no phono out - only digital optical. This meant I had to upgrade the home cinema as well. Something I was going to do eventually but this forced the issue. I only had a minor problem which was some tiny white marks in the plastic surround, they looked like air bubbles - Amazon were excellent tv was replaced within a few days and easy pick up of the original set.
