    Very pleased 11 Sep 2010
    By Helen
It took me ages to decide which tv to go for. I wanted to keep up with technology without paying tonnes. This had the key features I wanted, 100hz, 1080p, freeview HD, LED. I paid more than I initially expected, but it was worth paying that much more to get the a very good tv. No regrets, love it!

I'm delighted with this TV. It does so much that I've not bothered listing it all below - I've just written about what's most important to me in a telly. I hope it helps though.

    The good bits:

This television is ultra slim and looks really stylish. It is visually stunning. Blacks look black, the colours are vivid and the image is crystal clear and as smooth as you like.

My front room is normally very bright and with previous TVs I've found myself having to draw the curtains so that I can see whats happening. This set is bright enough that I no longer have to worry about that.

The interface is excellent. It's logical & easy to set the telly up but it's also hugely customisable - There's no real need too but you can fiddle & tweak for ages if that's you're kind of thing. The Telly automatically picks up which inputs are connected and lists them in order so no more flicking through countless unused inputs to get to the one you want....you can even label the inputs (DVD, GAME, SATELLITE etc) in case you forget what's plugged in where! It has very low power consumption - you can even turn the standby light off. It has Freeview HD built in.

    The not so good bits:

Firstly, the audio on the TV isn't quite up to the standard of the picture quality. It is as good as I would expect from such a slim Telly but if you want BOOOOMING sound without distortion you'll need to hook it up to some external speakers or surround sound. Secondly, in my view, the internet (Netcast) is a bit of a gimmick with access to only 3 websites(as of August 2010). If you bother to hook it up to the net (which I have) all you'll get is the weather, a photo sharing site & YouTube. To be fair, YouTube does look awesome though!

Great Value TV 3 Oct 2010
    By Pete
I bought this 'LED' TV because I have a computer monitor LED also from LG (W2486L). This has been a superb monitor so was hoping the TV would be similar in performance. I wasn't wrong ! The brightness and contrast levels on LED TV's are remarkable and don't think I will ever return to a normal LCD screen again. I've got just about everything going through this TV - Blue ray, computer, Wii cansole and an Xbox 360. The pictures from the Xbox and blueray are stunning. This also has Freeview HD built in and was impressed by the picture quality - its every bit as good as SKY HD. Comes equipped with Networking and I hooked it up to my router via ethernet cable. I must say the internet side is a bit of a gimmick. Can't really see why you would want to use the 4 basic apps instead of a computer. If it had the BBC or ITV iplayers that would have been different, a real bonus. Here's hoping for the future. Anyway - great value TV with ample connections, looks great, and very light and easy to wall hang. I would reccomend this TV to anyone as a good all-rounder.
