5.0 out of 5 stars My review 12 Feb 2011
I got this tv and it was easy to setup. I quickly tried the TV out in 1080p with my Xbox 360. I tried FIFA 11 which looked good and i was expecting a little bit of motion blur from goalkeeper kicks however there was none to be found. I also tried the game with Call of duty black ops and dead space 2 which looked exceptionally good and helped with the intense atmosphere. Today I connected the TV up to an aerial and was surprised after finding 84 Freeview channels including 4 HD channels, BBC One HD, BBC HD, ITV HD and Channel 4 HD which I was not expecting in Sheffield yet. I also have tired the internet features of this TV which was also very easy to set up and comparing the apps to the ones of a Samsung TV I can say that there is less applications but of a higher quality. It doesn't have all of the cheap feeling games and downloadable apps however it has all of the most important ones such as YouTube which is really easy to navigate, Facebook , BBC Iplayer and twitter. This TV also looks great with the hdmi output of my laptop and if anyone has a Intel HD card make sure you set a custom ratio of 60 by 60 to stretch the picture for a perfect fit in advanced settings. Overall a great TV and I have not found anything I do not like.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value - Stunning HD 27 Nov 2010
Amazing tv that gives features that you would have to pay an extra 50+ to get on other sets. The NetCast functionality is great and they have added loads more services (bbc iplayer, google maps, twitter, facebook, youtube and many more i have never even heard of!). Xbox is stunning in full hd and there are more hdmi ports than usual for a set in this price range too, which is always nice!

Overall, I love this TV! <3

5.0 out of 5 stars TOP NOTCH WELL DONE LG 25 Mar 2011
Verified Purchase
Great TV...Fantastic price, Fantastic Quality, Fantastic picture, for this price I replaced my old 19" in the bedroom and what a great job it is.. With the HD tuner I can,t wait to get the HD picture which I know will be great..2012 for Northern Ireland to switch over. The normal freeview picture is already very very good. Sound also very good and you can tweek it to suit your own choices.

Rang LG to see if this model works with the wireless dongle but was told know it is not set up for this model..but the LAN lead works a treat anyway and allows you to get about 10 internet widgets, iPlayer, facebook, twitter, you tube and 6 or so others films etc... I have used iplayer and you tube and find it very handy for doing a little TV catch up and clips on youtube. Very usefull you normally have to pay twice as much to get these features on a TV well done LG. When you take the TV out of the Box it only shows 3 widgets on the netcast feature, however when you plug your LAN lead in it does a firmware/software update which only takes a few minutes and hey presto... you have 10 widgets as described above, so don,t panic when you only see three out of the box..

I would recommend this TV without a doubt. Another great feature is the USB that allows you to play movies through it via a hard disk or USB pen drive.. this is also a great feature that normally comes on TVs that cost much more. Hope this helps anyone looking at buying this TV.. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.. Oh.... I also bought an adaptor plate from Amazon to allow the 100mm bracket for my 19" to be converted to 200mm which ths TV requires worked a treat.. saved a small fortune as a new bracket can cost up to 50 or so well done Amazon...

Ordered this TV to replace an old 28 inch Analogue lump. This TV is great value and an excellent piece of kit, Freeview channels look good, Freeview HD channels look really good, not tried analogue as we have switched to digital. Bought the Max Value 85 Mbps Home Plug Double Unit Pack to enable connection of this TV to the broadband router at the other end of the house. The Netcast feature is really great too, initially the TV did some firmware updates, then it was ready to go, the most impressive feature being the BBC Iplayer, I have watched several hour long TV programs on Iplayer and the picture quality is better than watching a standard definition Freeview channel, the playback is smooth, sound is perfectly in sync and it has so far never got stuck during play, much better than watching on a computer, our internet connection speed is fairly good, but there are lower quality settings which can be selected if you connection speed is too slow. There is also Google maps, an internet radio, Picassa, Facebook and some movie download apps. Plenty of connections, not tried playing films yet via USB stick, overall very impressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best TV ever for us. 13 Feb 2011
The first big screen Tele we have bought for 8 years. Its great to have built in Freeview although we did`nt realise that HD was`nt available on Freeview from Sutton Coldfield transmitter till September 2011. Very easy to set up with a great picture and the best sound we have heard from any slim tv and all for less than 300 delivered free next day (fantastic service). Hav`nt tried the internet functions yet but there seems more than enough connections for every possible gismo available.

5.0 out of 5 stars BRILLIANT SET - ONLY THE SOUND LETS IT DOWN 18 Mar 2011
Verified Purchase
I got this after having sent back a disappointing Samsung and I'm happy to say it'll be staying with me.

- the picture is breathtaking, both when fed with an HD source via HDMI or on the in-built Freeview HD tuner - sharp as a razor.

- even regular Freeview pictures are excellent.

It has a swivel stand and even the ability to turn off the power light when watching in a dark room.

As with all LCD TVs, the sound is a waste of time - it's clear enough, but void of bass.

- you can get round this by connecting a subwoofer/speaker system (i.e. Logitech) to the 3.5mm headphone socket - this will transform your viewing experience.

- why it only has Toslink optical sound out, is crazy - LG should have provided RCA sound out.

I don't bother with the USB playback feature - it won't play/recognise all files - all these sets are the same - there's not one that will play every video/audio file.

A BRILLIANT SET - EXCELLENT PICTURE - ONLY LET DOWN BY THE SOUND, BUT YOU CAN GET BY THAT BY SPENDING A FEW POUNDS ON A SUBWOOFER.
