LH3000

22LU4010
The LU4010 series boasts a unique style and can blend into your lifestyle whether it be for your bedroom or kitchen.

Freeview/Digital
With LG, you’ll be ready for the digital switchover. By 2012, all areas of the UK will receive TV in digital as opposed to analogue. Freeview is a subscription free service which brings up to 48 digital TV channels including ITV2, E4, BBC3 Film4, plus 24 digital radio stations, no contract and no satellite dish.

To check if you can receive Freeview in your area, text your postcode followed by your house number or name to 83331* or visit www.freeview.co.uk

x2 HDMI
Connect your games console, blu-ray player or home cinema system through the 2 HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) ports for a true High Definition multimedia experience.

AV Mode
LG TVs have three special modes (Cinema, Sport and Game modes) for enhanced picture and audio quality. These are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control. Cinema Mode - Watch movies with vivid colour, smoother motion and cinematic sound effect. Sport Mode – Takes you closer to the action by emphasising the main colours and reducing motion blur. Game Mode – Optimises the TV for computer and / or games console for a more dynamic gaming experience.

HD Ready
High-definition television, or HDTV, is a new standard of TV with better-quality picture and sound than normal TV, the sort of standard you would see at a cinema. HDTV brings you closer to the action, offering more colours and a higher resolution picture (twice as many horizontal lines). This can make HDTV images clearer, sharper, more detailed and very lifelike.

Invisible Speaker
The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker System, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. They enhance the audio by increasing the ‘sweet spot’ to give a wider and richer sound field. This speaker system provides a clean and fashionable design compared with traditional side or bottom speaker designs.

Energy Saving Recommended
LG TVs help you save money and the environment. An Energy Saving Recommended Integrated Digital Television (IDTV) can save around £7 a year and 20 kilograms of CO2 each year compared to a similar TV and set top box; they are amongst the most efficient in their class. There are over 16 million terrestrial digital TV receivers in the UK, and if these were upgraded to IDTVs it would save around £112 million in energy bills.

With energy-saving features such as ‘Video Mute’, mechanical power-off switch and ‘Intelligent Sensor’, LG has one of the largest ranges of TVs registered to the Energy Saving Trust’s Energy Saving Recommended scheme. To gain entry to the Energy Saving Recommended scheme products have to meet strict criteria to ensure that they are amongst the most efficient in the market place. Check www.est.org.uk for more information.

Belting Telly 5 Jan 2010
By JB
I bought this to replace an old analogue set in the bedroom. I thought a 19" would do but glad I went for the 22"; I think you need a bigger size with a widescreen.
It was a doddle to set up, just plug in and it tunes itself. I didn't order a wall bracket with it because I couldn't see in the blurb whether it was Vesa compatible. However it is Vesa 100 compatible if anyone else is wondering. I got an excellent bracket from Asda!
The picture is great and although the sound is not as good as larger TVs it is perfectly acceptable especially if you go into the menu, select surround sound and adjust the bass and treble to suit. From reading many reviews it appears all the small sets suffer from poor sound but this seems to be one of the better ones.
I am very satisfied with the set and as always quick delivery from Amazon.

I bought this TV based on a number of reviews that said it had great picture quality, which is important to me. Sadly I ignored the comments about poor sound since all 22" sets seemed to get similar comments - big mistake! It was easy to setup (the picture wizard is great), picked up all the freeview channels, and the picture was indeed very good. However...the sound was totally unacceptable. Even playing with the tone settings (full bass, no treble, although neither seemed to make much difference), turning surround off, and using "Clear voice" at negative settings to kill some treble, didn't help. It was the most tinny, weedy, unnatural sound I've ever heard from a TV - the closest comparison is a cheap radio alarm clock or laptop speakers. There was absolutely no bass or mid-range, it was all treble. Did I mention the sound is bad? I can't believe that LG signed this set off for sale, putting so much effort into a great picture and nice user interface but getting the sound so badly wrong. Like a lot of modern TVs it's also got a nasty, shiny finish to the surround that shows dust within seconds of cleaning it.

I popped out to my local Comet and Currys to listed to a few other sets (the Toshiba 22" and Sony 19" on here) and they were much, much better - not perfect, but perfectly acceptable. Thanks to Amazon's returns policy I sent it back and received a full refund.

Verdict - DO NOT BUY THIS SET. Really, don't touch it. Avoid. You'll regret buying it, I did.

This TV is OK and after looking in shops and reading reviews went for this in our bedroom. Sound is the biggest let down just does not sound like it is coming from the TV, I think it bounces back off of the wall and the sound is very tinny. It is a lot better than the Samsung though. Image quality is ok. We also bought a 32" Philips TV a couple of years ago it is superior both for sound and picture it did cost twice as much I guess. The smaller Philips LCD TVs just look very ugly unfortunately.

I do not understand why all of the smaller LCD TVs sound is so bad, my little 15"CRT TV I had as a teenager was better. This one even talks about how good the sound is, it is not.

one point I use this TV as a second monitor for my laptop and it works well, clear and crisp.
