not only shocking drama 12 Feb. 2008
By O. Nasraoui - Published on
Format: Mass Market Paperback
The story is not only a story about Ahmed, the eighth "daughter" of a rich merchant in Marrakech, socially a boy, but psychologically and authentically a girl.
It is not only a shocking drama inspired by true events (!!!) that will leave you on the edge of your seat, but also, holds deep, implicit insights into the nature of gender and male chauvinism. The latter, although deeply ingrained in societies almost everywhere, happened to have manifested itself, in this story in particular, within North-African culture.
was being advertise as the wrong edition. 12 Oct. 2013

The book was fine and new the ad use to say edition le seuil while it was a different edition. I contact seller and explained that the problem, the answer I got was more sarcastic then sincere. After all, unless if it is really expensive you won't return it, because shipping cost will make it your loss.
