One of the better lens cleaning products on the market today. A must for anyone with a SLR camera but equally useful for those with compact digitals as well.

Pros: durable plastic outer shell. The brush should be used first to remove dust and dirt followed by the cleaning pad. Both provide a good quality clean for lenses, view finders and viewing screens. Extremely portable and compact. The cap and slide out button ensures both cleaning pad and brush are kept clean and hidden while not in use.
Cons: none to mention.

I used the "pad" end of this to clean a fingerprint off a lens. It made a perfect job almost instantly. I was very impressed.
I am not sure about the brush end, in the long term.

It is OK at the moment, and when not in use it can be retracted into the body- but there is no actual cap or dust-seal to protect the brush. My feeling is that in time the brush may pick up dust/dirt from its environment.
I am really undecided whether or not I would recommend this product to someone else or not. Probably not.

But certainly when new, it does everything that you would expect.

A super item. I use it all the time. An essential tool for all photographers. I've always been a bit hopeless at lens cleaning; never quite as happy with my results as I would like. This tool makes all my cleaning efforts look like I am a professional lens cleaner.

Removes all sorts of smudges and marks from glass without any need to apply force, which is a very good thing indeed when dealing with multi-coated surfaces. The simple application of ones breath on the lens and the gentle circular motion of the carbon head over the lens surface spiralling from the centre to the edge (or vice versa) is sufficient to remove any marks other than mechanical damage.

The instructions included in English are clear and unambiguous.

It is not designed to last forever as the carbon cleaner will eventually wear away but I can't see that happening for a good few years and at such a cheap price on Amazon I would say it's life expectancy is irrelevant.

The retractable brush allows the tool to be used with one hand while holding a lens in the other without the need to put the tool or lens down. This very useful when out in the field and clean surfaces are unavailable.

I am going to start by saying I would happily pay a lot more than this item is worth for one. I purchased this for my kit and it cleans all my lenses spotless. There is a small fine retractable brush for getting large particles of dust off. Then you can use the non-fluid cleaning element to wipe the lens spotles. But the best bit is that the lenspen is meant to last at least 500 cleans! That should last me a while. I will definitely be buying another one when this eventually runs out.

As an SLR user, it is almost inevitable that at some point your front lens element will become smudged with a fingerprint or attract dust.

The last thing you want to do is use the corner of your shirt to try and remedy the situation, this will create more problems than it solves.

This is where a Lenspen comes in. A retractable brush at one end to remove dust particles, and a finger print removing pad at the other end. To top it off, it's all contained in one compact pen sized package, making it easy to slip into a tight space in your photography bag.

At the price these are available for on Amazon, there really is no excuse for a photographer not to own one.

Only negative I've seen so far is the lid is a little loose, nothing major though.

To be absolutely honest I wasn't sure what I was buying, but it had to be better than a bit of Woody and Buzz kitchen roll. And it is. Fine enough to get in all the corners (corners on a circular filter? Surely not!) between the flat glass and raised edge of the filter mount, yet big enough to cover a 62mm filter in a couple of sweeps. Inexpensive, well made and versatile. Worth six stars.
Ordered and delivered within three days in a small padded bag which offered good protection and fitted neatly through the letter box. Worth another star.

I purchased the Lenspen in hope that it would solve the problem of dust on my Nikon D3000's lens.

The pen came in a sealed box & I took it out straight away. From first appearances the pen had a Brush on one end (with no cap, allowing dust into the brush head) and the 'Pen' end, a small self-replenishing head.. I found this end particularly helpful, it removed fingerprints with minimal fuss or problems! The same cannot be said for the brush, it only adds more dust!

All-in-All a good product for anyone needing a compact and portable solution to clean DSLR Lenses, though the brush design is a major flaw and brings the review down to 3*

Jack.
