Help Captain Rex and Luminara Unduli in the battle against the army of Droids! The battle for Geonosis continues! The destructive separatists' proton cannon is the most important instrument of the army of Droids in the biggest Star Wars battle: The Clone Wars. It features a rocket launcher, a rotating gun turret and stands. The separatists seem not to be stoppable until Captain Rex and Jedi General Luminara Unduli arrive on the BARC Speeder and the cards turn.

This review is for the complete 'Battle of Geonosis' 'set' the rrp is £35.99 and contains 331 bricks or separate parts to the kit. It is not a review about mini figures sold separately.
Firstly, we think this set is awesome.
It includes a really solid separist proton cannon (22cm long), with a spring loaded action missle launcher. It fires missles clear across the carpet at the touch of a release lever - so beware! We love this feature as it makes the set very playable for battles - but it does mean the recommended age for this set starts at 8 years. (The spring loaded missile launcher was only previously available on the Anakin Skywalker Y-wing model). It is a complex build - but fun. The legs are adjustable and poseable on the cannon to make it 'walk' and you can change the elevation of the cannon to aim it. All in all, the cannon feels a very solid and complete as a model - well pleased.
It also includes a BARC speeder for Luminara in a maroon trim. It is a medium sized model (15cm long) and looks good. Quite robust and bits dont fall off when you play with it, It is a less complex build - so a younger child could have a go at this model on their own.
Mini-figures: There are some difficult to collect mini figures in this set - Captain Rex comes with helmet attachments in grey, and unique grey stubble on his clone head. He has twin blasters. The blue detailing on the torso and helmet is unique to him. He is a very popular character with kiddies into the Clone Wars animated series. You cant get him with any other current kits. We were relieved that he has been issued with a mid range kit rather than a hyper expensive one! Jedi master Luminara i think is only available in this set? She comes with a rotating head (one with eyes and one with goggles), a unique head piece and detailing on the legs and torso (and her yellow lightsaber). It has 2 battle droids which are fairly easy to pick up in different sets and 1 super battle droids (which are quite difficult to come by).
Star Wars universe - this set fits in with the Clone Wars animated series stories and is the second battle for Geonosis. It makes sense to buy it with the new Geonosian cannon set (rrp £19.99) - so that you have some winged Geonosians to fight. The other set that goes with this is the Geonosian Starfighter (£29.99) that includes jedi Master Mundi, the elusive but popular Commander Cody and another Geonosian pilot.
Value for money: When I bought the set I thought it was a bit pricey at around £35, I think it should have been about £30. When the model was built it was quite solid and pleasing with its moving parts, so I didnt mind so much about the high price. I know our junior will go on playing with it for a long time, so I guess that in the long run it is good value.

This lego pack has been a huge hit with my son. Not only is the cannon suitable big and boy heaven, but the wings on the lego fly-creatures are a new for lego and very well made. My son is five and he made it all himself following the instructions. Well done lego!

Bought this set for my son's birthday and he loves it. His favourites are Captain Rex - the blue and white clone commander which is quite hard to find, and the super battle droid. The cannon is a great addition to his battle scene of Geonosis.
The female jedi figure Unduli? is well made with printed legs and a great headdress and a dual sided face with goggles for riding her speeder.
There's never much Lego for your hard earned £ss in these franchised sets but they do give hours of pleasure and at least hold their value well when my son decides he's had enough and wants to buy other Lego sets,so 5 stars!

expensive lego figuires
my grandson loved these figures as they are all the rage.i found them overated and expensive for what they are.unfortunately once EVERYONE ELSE has them its hard to say no!
