The current wave of ships from Revenge Of The Sith expands to include the versatile V-Wing Fighter.

Seen escorting Emperor Palpatine's shuttle to Coruscant and guarding the Death Star, these neat little starfighters have been captured quite well in Lego form.

The ship features positionable wings, removable cockpit, laser cannons and opening wings which cover the small R2 astromech unit behind the pilot. The kit comes complete with a Clone Pilot figure (like the one in the ARC-170 Starfighter - kit #7259) but not a V-Wing pilot.

The kit is very easy to assemble so kids can start playing straight away. Older collector's may be disappointed by the fact that the ship is about half the size it should be and comes with a different pilot but I think it's a rather neat little craft and a good addition to any Imperial Fighter collection.

The V-wing fighter is a lot better than the ARC-170 because its way smaller and has less pieces. It's less breakable on account of size. It's a perfect model for kids 8+.Of course if you want bigger and more challenging models by all means pick up or order the ARC-170 Starfighter. Ryan Mcarthy Age 14

It is super because you can have fun[hopefully],build it in 10 minutes, open up the wings and it has an astromech Droid.

V-Wing 11 April 2013

Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I bought this when it came out. Though it was long ago I still like it as much as the day I got it. It's a simple design but still very sleek I think. There is really not much to it piece wise and the only things that move are the wings side fins. The cockpit doesn't even open on a hinge like most star fighters. I'm happy I have it but if I didn't I don't think I would buy it for what they are charging now. I would actually buy the Imperial V-wing Starfighter that just came out because from what I can tell it is about the same looking ship except for some minor changes, the color scheme and the two different mini figs. And oh yeah, alot cheaper. This is still a nice set though and could be worth it for the right price.
Anyway check out my video.

Make sure you shop around! 2 Feb. 2009

We bought this for my son who loves the star wars lego collection. These toys are more for the fun and challenge of putting them together and displaying. They are not great to play with once put together as they easily fall apart.
My son found this set on amazon. However, after placing this order on amazon.com my husband searched some other sites and found much better deals. I have unfortunately encountered this problem often recently on amazon. So my biggest suggestion is make sure you search around well before placing your order.
