Power Miners Vs Rock Monsters Mysterious underground rumblings are shaking the LEGO® world. Mischievous little rock monsters are digging beneath the planet's surface! A famous LEGO geologist named Brains studies the monsters and discovers there are five different coloured monsters, each with different characteristics, and all have a huge appetite for the crystals that can be found in the centre of the planet.
Driving incredible mining vehicles invented by Brains, the power miners will embark on a new adventure, deep into the underground world that has never before been explored to fight the rock monsters. The miners must collect the crystals using their fully equipped vehicles, before the rock monsters get their hands on them and grow in power! |

Taking its cues from the recent Exo Force range is this neat little set from the Power Miners range.
This is great. A stocky, clompy block of a piece of equipment that looks proper heavy duty. It reminds me of the Power Loader from Aliens; a grubby, slow, practical bit of kit. The big crusher claw is ace and there's loads of articulation thanks to those ball joints. Only the spinny-blade is a bit rubbish, as viewed from certain angles it looks like a cross between an egg wisk and a parasol. The minfigure comes with a nervous expression, plus a pick axe, some dynamite and another cutesy rock creature.

This is a really good set.
The only downsides are that the leg sometimes falls off and it's slightly difficult to move around. The spinning plasma cutter and the gripping claw are both exciting elements to play with. It's fun to play with on it's own or with other power miners sets.

Great addition to any lego collection, can actually be played with, without it falling apart all the time.
