"Ah, cool ... boy lego!" was the reaction that my 7yr old daughter gave this set when she opened it on her birthday. She carefully followed the instructions to build the chariot and the helicopter and was very excited to show me that some of the pieces would glow in the dark.
She has now been playing with it for everyday for a whole week and has told me that she wants to save up for some of the bigger and more expensive sets in this series. It has certainly been one of her favourite birthday pressies!

The Lego Monster Hunter series has produced some amazing sets such as the Haunted House and the Ghost Train. This smaller set featuring Lego heroine Anne Lee and the Mummy (Im Ho Tep?) is very imaginative, but feels like it's missing something to make it complete. Virtually all of it is made from the smallest of bricks, and there is nothing such as a large outer shell or a centerpiece to keep it from feeling flimsy. On it's own it's not such a great set, but integrated into something like the Vampyre Castle it would be more at home.
It includes the Mummy riding a skeletal horse while Anne Lee chases after him in some sort of cockamamie gyro-lite. The Monster Hunter series is something I would like to see continued and developed more, as many of the smaller sets, such as this one, don't have anywhere else to be (it would be a little odd to have the Mummy charging though your Lego City environment).
