Power Miners Vs Rock Monsters Mysterious underground rumblings are shaking the LEGO® world. Mischievous little rock monsters are digging beneath the planet's surface! A famous LEGO geologist named Brains studies the monsters and discovers there are five different coloured monsters, each with different characteristics, and all have a huge appetite for the crystals that can be found in the centre of the planet.
Driving incredible mining vehicles invented by Brains, the power miners will embark on a new adventure, deep into the underground world that has never before been explored to fight the rock monsters. The miners must collect the crystals using their fully equipped vehicles, before the rock monsters get their hands on them and grow in power! |
With their stony exteriors and the glowing, crystal-like markings running through their bodies, Brains believes that they may actually be made out of living rock itself. He recruits a team of power miners and engineers to tunnel deep into the Earth to save the world.  Who knows what their mysterious adventures may lead to? All sets include dynamite, crystal, power miner minifigure and rock monster. Age range 6 years+ |
 | Meltrox is angry, destructive, full of rage for everyone and everything - and that's when he is in a good mood! He is always the first to want to fight, even when there are crystals nearby for the taking. The Power Miners know when they see Meltrox, they better be ready for action! Nasty and evil, Glaciator is feared even by the other rock monsters. While he is plenty dangerous on his own, he prefers to get Boulderax or Meltrox to do his fighting for him while he eats the crystals. If the Power Miners are in trouble you can be sure that Glaciator is behind it somehow! |

I am a big lego fan and have made many large models but this one was the worse. The cog that sweeps the crystals just keeps clogging up and hitting the cockpit. This stops it working and makes the wheels fall off. It doesn't work at all on smooth surfaces. I found it very frustrating and really wish that I hadn't spent my christmas money on it. I definately won't be spending any more money on lego power miners.

At first it is a bit wobbley, but if you give all the parts a good push they do not fall off, then it is good fun, and my favourite bit is the little drill. Thomas age 7

This is a great toy, I had so much fun building it. However parts keept falling off and it made me SO MAD in my rage I smashed it to the ground but when I rebuit it the problem was still really infurating,so I decided to glue the parts that came off. Now its fine, but on the other hand, the part that collects the crystals is very hard to position but when you get it right it works a treat although it does miss a few crystils (only about 2 or 3). On the box it shows a rock monster beeing suked up by the machine but when i tried it just broke the toy.
So, in conclusion,if you buy this make sure you DO NOT have a short temper. This rewiew was writfen by Nicholas Arthur Adlam (aged 10)
