You can attach parts from other Lego Hero Factory to other figures. My 9year old loves these. These toys are good fun and who wins the battle you decide, can take quite alot of abuse without falling apart unlike some lego products which can leave kids dissapointed as toys are meant to be played with and not just looked at once built.
When not being used i put them on sons bedroom window sill as i think they look to good to be put in toy box. Really sturdy toy once built and hours of play. The reason i gave educational value is it teaches patience to when building the product and you have to follow instructions in which my son done.

It seems to me that since LEGO ran out of ideas as to what to do next with "Bionicles", they advanced into the "Hero Factory" range. There has been a constant evolution in this series, with each range having new models (i.e. parents have to buy the same thing, but slightly different, again).
The models are in bright colours, which appeal to my boys (one is almost 10, the other is almost 12) and the quality has risen greatly since Hero Factory version 1. In the newer models, articulated joints are more mobile, and the detailing is better.
These models all appear in the TV series (a first for LEGO) and that adds to the appeal to kids.
My boys get their greatest fun from mixing up the parts and creating their own models, and at the end of the day, that is what LEGO should be all about.

bought with more lego heroes from amazon as the cheapest place. as always amazon didnt disappoint prompt delivery excellent service. toy great too. 7 year old son loves this collection of heroes. plays with constantly along with his other lego from amazon.
