This is so clever and my 22 month old son loves it.
The box contains lego pieces that let you make a giraffe, an elephant and parrot, each in a different colour (yellow, blue and red), plus there are pieces to make a little tree.
This set appears to have only a few pieces and is not much you think, but ... you get to make the animals rather than just have them as little figures (like many other sets). Each animal is effectively colour coded so its easier for little people + can be made in different ways (perhaps added to pieces from other sets). Plus you get a fantastic stencil / sorter for each animal with a little picture of the finished design, again very useful to jog the memory of infants. You can use these in order to help your little person find the right bricks, or else put them in an array so that he or she can complete the figure.
Then the stencils each work as lids for the box but now the really clever bit. They also work as shape sorters so you can play tidying up lego by getting pieces to fit through the holes.
This is a piece of lego genius and let's not forget you can add this to other sets for more flexibility.
Really the favourite toy of both myself and my son at the moment. I'm not accustomed to giving five stars but I'd give this six if I could. (In the spirit of the amplifiers that go up to eleven in spinal tap).
