I purchased this train set for my grandson's second birthday. What a wise choice. He loves it. While he is not quite able to assemble it all by himself, he has great fun playing with it. He loves starting and stopping the train. He has endless fun loading the carriages with passengers. When it comes to refilling with petrol, this is his favourite chore. I intend to purchase extra track and eventually incorporate it into a whole town for him.
A great foundation piece of lego which will help develop the imagination and lead to a childhood filled with fun.

My 2 year old granddaughter played with this Lego Duplo Train Starter Set for ages and repeatedly over the holiday. I was very impressed by how much was in the starter kit - a circle of track that was just right for a little one, an engine and a carriage, a bridge, engine driver and passengers, a fuel truck, the ubiquitous Duplo flower and sundry bricks. And the sound effects, squealing brakes as the engine slows to a halt, glug glug noises from the fuel tank as you fuel the engine - terrific! And my granddaughter loved it too!

We got this for my little boys 2nd birthday! It is great the whole family have enjoyed it as he is having so much fun! He has played with it constantly. The train turns itself once it has been on a little while which is great with toddlers who don't have very long attention spans. Also the petrol pump makes noise which he loves. Since we bought it we have had to buy extra track, bridge etc to keep him interested but has all been well worth it! We do counting pieces of track putting them together etc as well so can be very educational as well.
