My almost-two year old son got this for Christmas. He is quite rough with toys, but this has enough moving parts and things to do to keep him very involved. My almost-five year old daughter also really loves it! If you have two children, it is great, as it has both a digger and a dump truck, so they can play and work together. The conveyor belt is a bit stiff, and hard to work for little fingers. They are already combining it with their other Duplo kits to make more complex situations. We love it! I have only given it 4 stars as it tends to fall apart if you push too hard on the conveyor belt - but then it is fun to put it together again!

"Gravel pit" doesn't sound terribly exciting, but actually this must be the best duplo set on the market (and that's saying something). Since getting it for his birthday my 3-year-old has had no end of fun lifting things with the conveyer belt, loading up the hopper, and emptying it into the tipper truck. As has his older brother. They've also had great fun integrating the special pieces into their own models. Absolutely brilliant.

My 3 year old received this for Christmas and has played with it nearly every day since. Having other duplo sets does allow for more building opportunities, but since he is obsessed with construction vehicles he is really happy with it.
