First things first, when built this house looks pretty amazing. As you can see in the pictures provided by Amazon, you can make three different models- the modern country house, which is by and large the most impressive- with working garage, picturesque windows, chimney, satellite dish and lots of other little additions which really make the model. The next model is the tall townhouse, which is almost as impressive as the country house, though seems to be a bit more fragile. The summerhouse I didn't particularly like, it was a bit too small and not as grandiose as the other two models, and the niche for summerhouse has been filled before by the Lego beachhouse, which seems to do a better job at it.
On to the contents of the box in the whole kit you get 539 pieces of Lego, so at £35 RRP that's around 6.5p per piece, which whilst not being the most cost efficient lego, it's not that bad either. You get two 16 x 32 green baseplates, which are useful for a whole host of reasons, plenty of blue roof tiles, lots of white beams in various sizes and then the extra bits like cones, studs and flat pieces to make the accessories.
The models weren't that difficult to make, and the very long list of instructions breaks the steps down into small enough chunks for most children to be able to do. Also, for a change the country house model pieces were put into bags that had some logical order, with most of the wall pieces in the wall bags, roof pieces in roof bags and accessories in another bag. This is good as it makes it that much easier to build the model, as you're not constantly looking in five different bags for the different pieces you need.
The house doesn't come with any minifigures, which might be a problem for some people. It also doesn't include a car to go in the garage, or floor pieces for inside the house, or any furniture. Whilst these aren't major drawbacks, it's worth mentioning that to make a fully functional house, other things will need to be included from elsewhere. All in all though, this is definitely a good buy and it fills a nice area between the Beach House and the Family Home that are already available.

My daughter has most of the other Lego House's and she enjoys builing and rebuilding them and even designing her own, and they are a resonable size, so i was a bit put
out of how small this one is once built compared to the others and it cost me about the same.
She loves them all and spends hours on them, so I would definately recommend the others ie Family house.

Another great addition to the range of "3 in 1" Lego houses. This is a nice-looking model with its sloped roof, its 'country retreat' design and its picturesque garden. The attention to detail is faultless, with a mail box, garage, basketball hoop, lawn-mower, apple tree and steps leading up to the attic/first floor. There are also instructions for two other models - a tall town house with a see-saw and table in the garden and a summer house complete with sun lounger. What with the wealth of useful bricks and varied pieces there are also endless possibilities for other alternative building.
