This was ordered by my son for his birthday. When he opened the present he was so excited. He loved building the model which he did himself and since then has had lots of fun loading and unloading things into the back and flying around the room.

This was purchased when on sale for a friends son who saved up his pocket money and paper round earnings but likes to get good value for his money. I bought it on his behalf and it was delivered quickly with sturdy packaging and no damage in transit.
Popping the box side so he could keep the parts safe for him we examined the set.
There are two clear instruction booklets detailing the build, a largish loose plate for the base of the helicopter and four numbered bags with smaller parts kept in their own smaller bags inside them. There was also a small sheet of stickers.
The set builds into a large helicopter that has a good range of features and looks quite stylish, a six wheeled ATV and three mini figures with a few spare parts left over as is usual.
The figures are quite nice and he liked the ranger most while the ATV is a very neat build with rugged tyres and two small storage lockers for a torch and cuffs.
He had only one small problem with the build when working on the nose but found opening the doors allowed him to get a better grip and attach the parts more easily. The final model is fairly sturdy with only the rear upper section under the rotor seeming a bit flimsy for him to play with. He quickly sorted through his lego and found a few pieces to add that made it stronger without stopping the rear door closing.
For me it's really quite a professional looking model with lots of good techniques but for him the play value is the most important thing. He's really very pleased with all the features although getting figures in the cockpit can be a little fiddly the set is a big hit with him.... Read more ›

My son bought this with his birthday money. Even he (at 6) understood that although we could purchase it from Argos today it was £10 more for for the same item. He gave his money to mummy and I ordered it, within a couple of days it was here, built up and one if his favourite Lego items.

Lots of great extras
Was actually fun to build with my son and I'm not a great fan of lego. Nice added extras when you open door. Does break up easily and parts require rebuilding but no big deal
