OK so as a 40 year old man who has grown up with computer games as a child and a love of Batman from the 1960's series I have to confess I loved this game and is the only game in donkeys years that I have been bothered/interested/able enough to complete. Ok I really don't play many of these games but on a recommendation brought the Indiana Jones games and enjoyed that, the thing with these Lego games are that they are great fun and not too frustrating, one of those games you can pick up and play for half an hour and return to when you have more time. Batman 2 has improved on the first game with the whole massive Gotham City to explore which takes a bit of getting used to but once you realize you have 250 gold bricks to collect and you need to collect every canister from each mission and the citizens in peril I enjoyed flying as Superman over Gotham searching for gold bricks to the Superman theme tune. Once you collect the red bricks the games becomes quite simple to complete but is still fun collecting all the extra characters although the bonus mission was a pain for 1 gold brick.

This time round the characters speak and the graphics again seem sharper than before, smashing lego bits to pieces solving puzzles and being all these Super Heroes and baddies, what's not to enjoy.

I spent many hours having fun completing this game and have no moved on to Lord of The Rings.

Good fun game, plenty of variety of characters and the usual standard of inventive puzzles and challenges, building and smashing up action. My wife loves these games and they're a good two-player co-op game, a welcome change from other less wholesome games that my wife generally leaves me to play on my own. ;-)

I bought this for a six year old and, I am proud to say, also ended up playing it and enjoying it myself.

It was partly the humour that roped me in and especially the Batman v Superman theme theme - Batman's jealousy of Superman and his irritation at Robin's admiration of Superman is beautifully written and very funny.

The gameplay mechanics are also great and there's possibly, I think, more level variety in this Lego game than in most other Lego games. The "Juggernaut" level for example features an animated large lorry (juggernaut) which you have to chase and climb on before completing a set of moving juggernaut roof top missions. The attention to detail in the graphics, animation and lighting suggests that a lot of effort has been put in to the level design beyond reliance on pre-rendered backdrops.

The puzzles are logical and well designed and with a bit of head scratching and support even a six year old can solve them (although I was stuck on some of the puzzles and needed the help of the six year old).

A really fun and well designed game and one of the best Lego games.

I've played nearly all the Lego videogames on xbox and absolutely love them! I can't believe how far the games have come in terms of the area outside the levels. Gotham city is huge and there's so much to do- miles better than the college in Indiana Jones or the bar in Star Wars!

This game definitely does not disappoint, if you're a fan of the lego games then you will love it. The levels are interesting, the character abilities are really clever and the video clips are hilarious. There are the usual annoyances that come with lego games- trying to get Superman to fly where you want him to is frustrating as hell, there are the occasional glitches which mean you have to restart levels- but overall this game has very few faults.

I found the game to be not particularly difficult (compared to lego marvel!) which makes it better for kids but at times I feel it could have benefited from a bit more of a challenge. For example, when you're defeating the boss villains scattered around the city it's just a few hits, win, move onto the next one. Some aspects of the levels are quite repetitive and it would have been better if they mixed it up a bit. Same story in the city when you are saving citizens and finding gold bricks as they're all hidden in the same places.

Overall, loved the game, totally addictive and I still had to complete to 100%- but loses a star because it's a bit easy and repetitive. Not as good as Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings!

I've been playing this on and off with my six-year-old son since his birthday in July, and it's pretty good fun. Having played the Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean versions you know what to expect, by way of quirky humour, different character skillsets, mini-games and attention to little details along the way.

We played through the story over quite a period of time as it didnt completely grab our attention fully to start with. However, having competed that section of the game, we've now taken to properly exploring the city, which is far bigger than the 'hub' sections of the other games mentioned above. This, for me, has been a lot more enjoyable, particularly as we are both involved but can take things at our own pace. I can roll around the places unlocking things, while my lad has fun finding different vehicles to cruise around Gotham in, collecting studs. One recommendation here is to spend a few moments properly getting to grips with the map and all its features. It also helps if you have unlocked at least one character who can fly (Superman first, although I personally prefer the Green Lantern). This means you can pick and choose the loot you're after, without wandering around aimlessly for hours and getting bored. Once you hit the sweet-spot and grab the stud multiplier red brick bonuses, you'll find your progress speeds up massively. You'll also find you can start to take shortcuts on some of the gold brick challenges by locating the end of the challenge, then substituting in characters with a particular skill instead of playing through the whole section with Batman/Robin and a special suit.

Unfortunately, there are a few little bug-bears which cost the game a star for me.
