Where can I start with this review. Lets start with saying that this game is absolutely fantastic. I own every single Lego portable game available and love most of them. This was the first Lego game I got for my 3DS and what an introduction! This game has almost completely convinced me to repurchase some of the other Lego games that are available for the 3DS.

What I like:

-The cut scenes and voice acting is simply fantastic, and is a very welcome feature to the Lego games.
-The graphics are superb and really show what handhelds can do now a days, this includes both the character models and the backgrounds.
-The combat has been improved immensely, and the slow final take-downs just adds to the combating fun, again, this needs to be the future for combat in the Lego games.

So there are many great features in this game but why did I only give 4 stars rather then 5? Well, there are quite a few issues with this game.

What I did not like:

-I was really hoping that this game would have an open world feature, as I would have really enjoyed exploring the massive Lego Gothem.
-The main story seems to be very much shorter then other Lego games, and I completed it in two days, which was disappointing.
-Like other Lego games there are a tone of collectibles to get, however, unlike the other Lego games, I am not too bothered about collecting them all as the levels in this game are too similar to keep me interested to search though to get everything.

However, having listed the bad things, it must be noted that I do still love this game. There are tones of new Batman and Robin suits to wear, and the different characters, with their different special moves, are very fun to play as. If you like Batman or any of the other Lego game titles, pick this up, and you will have a very, good, fun game to play.

Batman 2: DC Heroes is my first lego 3ds game and i have to say, it doesn't disappoint. Sure it may seem a rehash, new skin and setting but you would be wrong. It's much more than that and TT have done an excellent job of bringing the series forward especially with...

The main addition this time round is the voice acting which is fantastic, especially the Joker. Helps make the game feel fresher, clearer, better and more, like you're really part of it.

I've only played up to inside Arkham Asylum (roughly third/fourth chapter in) but i'm loving every minute of it. Sure there's no free roam as in the console version which is also great, especially when driving...the batmobile! but with a justice league additional available once the story is completed, there is plenty of content.

Pros:
Great story and voice acting.
Awesome moves by the characters that made me chuckle and i'm almost 20.
Fantastic visuals, crisp and clear.
Ability to explore the batcave
Unlockables as always: characters, replying the cut scenes, character voices/soundtracks/bios
Make your own super hero
New abilities and clever puzzles
Much more...

Overall, delighted with my purchase, fun for all ages and i cannot wait to kick some booty : )

Bring on Lego LOTR

Maybe it's my age, but I'm getting tired of over complicated battling systems and level bashing in my rpg's, I'd never tried a LEGO game before but got this one after playing the demo because it's just so much FUN! the cut scenes are funny and the levels entertaining with a very slight puzzle element that doesn't detract from the gameplay and skirmishes that don't diminish the fun of playing all the different DC characters and playing with their powers. I like re-visiting levels with freshly unlocked characters too, they've totally nailed the relationship between Batman and Superman, it's very funny. That really does sum the game up: fun and isn't that a nice change? I'll certainly be looking out for future Lego games, if only they'd do the marvel characters too......

I want to start by saying that this is a great game that really has a lot going for it. For me though it lacked a challenge and so I didn't get the feeling of accomplished that other games can offer.
First off I think it looks quite good. Obviously lego is going to be blocky, thats what it is after all, but it was quite pleasant to look at and play. There's a few dodgy changes from cut scenes to real play but It doesn't effect game-play so no big issue. I would have liked better sound effects but again because its for a portable console (I usually play on journeys)it isn't a major problem.
The overall game-play was good, very fun to play just too easy. Fighting is good considering and I thought the actions were good as well. Plus to counter the argument I make that it is slightly easy and thus quicker to complete (only 14 odd levels, and if you die you just re-spawn in the same place) the game has a usual trick up its sleeve. Unlock and play later as different characters to reach places you couldn't before, a big smiley face for all those people who like to 100% games with extra hidden bonuses. Oh I should also mention if you die too much you wont get a nice shiny medal. This can be annoying though as you have to play the different characters to accomplish different things, and of course some are better at killing specific enemies.
Please note, if you haven't got a lego game yet and this is going to be your first there is a lot of collecting, think sonic/mario bro's mass collecting all the way. Lego have been doing this forever so rest assured they got this element perfect.
Overall entertaining enough, I kind of wish I got it for one of my other consoles but having said that its still really fun and I'm still enjoying it.
